Angela R. Pittman

Angela Pittman was born January 5, 1965, In Baltimore City to Ruth Ann Harris and James Pittman. She received her education through Baltimore City Public schools. She attended Walbrook High School where she participated in the Drama Club and Marching Band. Angela gained her heavenly body on December 23, 2018. After a long battle with health related conditions. Angela fought a good fight, finished her course and kept the faith. She did not look like what she was going through. In her early years Angela worked for Maryland Transit Administration as a secretary. Later, she worked for Securitas Security Service and most recently she was employed by Bon Secours Hospital as an ER Registrar. However, there is no occupation that Angela performed better than the job of a Mother. Angela devoted her entire life to her six children. Family was a hugh part of her life, from holiday dinners to spontaneous gatherings she loved for the family to come together. Angela loved to talk about her children. You could feel the pride as she spoke of her "girls" and her "first born and only son." She made her children's education a top priority and instilled strong values in each of them. She brought her children up in the house of the Lord. Before she departed this life, Angela had the opportunity to witness the fruits of her labor: Five high school graduations, six proms, three weddings, the births of five grandchildren, college acceptances and any other milestones too numerous to list. Angela as she was affectionately called was known for speaking her mind with love. If you wanted to know the truth about anything, she had no problem keeping it real, she didn't sugarcoat anything. She gave the best advice. She was known for her world-famous sweet potato pies and keeping an immaculate home. Angela took pride in dressing beautifully and cooking. Angela was a member of the New Solid Rock Pentecostal Bibleway Church Inc. Under the leadership of Overseer Sallie Yancy-Boodram. She faithfully served for decades as an Evangelist, Praise and Worship Leader, Choir Director, Church Secretary, and the Choreographer of the New Birth Praise Dancers, the New Birth Boys and the New Birth Babes for over 13 years. Angela joins her Mother Deaconess Ruth Ann Harris-Darden, Grandmother Carrie Bell Moore, Uncle Williams Jones & Aunt Francis Pratt in eternity. Angela is survived by her six children: Anthony Parks, Jr. (Danyell Parks), Laravia Pittman-Wright (Michell Wright, Sr.), Shanerria Pittman (Michael Parks), Donna Rodgers-Carter (Chaz Carter), Tabitha Blackston & Valyncia Blackston. Five Grandchildren: Ariyanah Parks, Collin Carter, Omari Wright, Demi Carter & Marcel Parks. One sister: Patricia Pittman. One Brother: Erick Taylor (Leslie Taylor). Godmother: Overseer Sallie Boodram. Cousins: Shirl Brown & Queenesther Quinerly. The entire New Solid Rock Church Family and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, god children and loving friends. She will be forever missed.
