Angela LaDawn Monroe

Angela LaDawn Monroe was born March 7, 1978 to Esther M. Monroe-Hill and the late Anthony L. Eaton, Sr. in Richmond, Virginia. God called his newest angel to his side and welcomed her to the pearly gates on March 22, 2018. She is preceded in death by her brother, Demetri L. Monroe; paternal grandparents, Earl and Kate Eaton; maternal grandfather, Sgt. Herbert Monroe; uncles, Lorenzo Monroe, Andrew Monroe and Earl Eaton Jr. In her younger years, she was educated in Boston, Massachusetts at Harvard Kent as well as the private school of Henry Higginson Elementary School. While there she was commended for her writing skills and peer counseling skills. Angela attended Armstrong High School, Class of 1998. She furthered her education at J. Sargeant Reynolds Community College in Richmond, Virginia majoring in Respiratory Therapy. She was christened at a very young age under the Baptist faith, but yet found comfort and joy in Seventh Day Adventist beliefs, Angela on her own spiritual journey. Angela worked at Sun Trust Bank as a Loan Processor for several years. She later was employed by Parham East Day Support Program as a Mental Health Technician for the last eleven years. Angela is an avid reader, writer and a wonderful songstress. Demetri, her son, was the joy of her being; everything was dedicated to him. She was an advocate for education not only for him, but for all children. She was a volunteer for Meals on Wheels and other organizations. Angela was a good provider for her family. She was a people person and especially loved children. She will remembered for being kind, considerate, giving, her glorious smile, as well as love of family. She leaves to cherish her memories remarkable son, Demetri Monroe; caring mother, Esther M. Monroe-Hill (Dwayne Hill); loving siblings, Mary C. Monroe (her other heartbeat), Anthony L. Eaton Jr., Temeka Williams, Marquist Bates, Latisha and Shannette Harris, Channel, Monique, Barry, Mark Anthony Brunner; grandmother, Mary Alice Monroe; adored cousins, Lakeshia Monroe and LaTonya Tyler; devoted aunt, Mary Eaton; her love bugs, Akira, Halo, Yannie and Katie; loving friends, Todd Jones, Keshawn Henley and Latrice Clarke; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, other relatives and caring friends.
