Angela B. Keene

Angela Booker Keene was born on January 22,1946, to the late Elsie and Druel Hendricks. She was born and raised in East Baltimore, Maryland, before later moving to Glen Burnie, Maryland and eventually settling in Dover, Delaware, where she lived the remainder of her life until entering into eternal rest on July 3, 2026. Angela attended Paul Laurence Dunbar High School where she completed her education before pursing her certification in Early Childhood Education at Essex Community College. She went on to dedicate her life to caring for and nurturing children, later opening and operating her own daycare where she made a lasting impact on the lives of many children and families. Angela shared her life with her spouse Lynwood Keene for over 50 years and together they built a loving family. She was a devoted mother to her children Efrem Keene, Sr., and and Allegra Artis. While living in Glen Burnie, Maryland, Angela worked for Macy's where she was a dedicated and hardworking employee until her retirement. Angela was also gifted in many creative areas and enjoyed baking, drawing, and sewing which she used to express her love and care for others. Angela will be remembered for her strength, warmth, wisdom, and deep love for her family. She was a loving and devoted mother who cared for her children with her whole heart. She especially adored her grandchildren and great grandchildren who brought her tremendous joy and happiness throughout her life. She was a wonderful woman full of kindness, strength, and grace who extended her love and care to everyone. To her family, she was not only amazing but truly the greatest, the heart of her family whose love, presence, and spirit will never be forgotten. Angela was preceded in death by her beloved parents, Elsie and Druel Hendricks, and her cherished bonus son, Michael Taylor. She leaves to cherish her precious memories her loving husband, Lynwood Keene; her children, Efrem Keen and Allegra Artis (Joseph), her goddaughter Tierra Williams, her bonus daughter Yvonne Taylor, her beloved grandchildren: Efrem Keene, Jr., Tamara Artis, Anterio Keene, Sr., ( Lihanny), Antwanino Keene, Antoine Keene, Sr., Avery Artis (Jordan), Frayzalle Lam (Keith), Davina Jenkins and Anthony Keene; bonus grandchildren, Margo Nathan and Hank Nathan; seventeen great-grandchildren: Antoine Keene, Jr., Aiyanna Harper, Keith Foster-Lam, Kenneth Keene, Anterio Keene, Jr., Khiyon Artis-Minor, Marcello Keene. Tristian Keene, Jace Keene, Bryson Keene, Amari Harcum, Avery Harcum, Emilio Keene, Maliah Lam, Aurora Keene, Malaysia Lam and Ava Artis, her brother Douglas Battle ( Nancy) as well as a host of loving nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family, and dear friends who will forever cherish her presence, her legacy, and the love she generously shared.
