Angela L. Carter

Angela Louise Carter, affectionately known as “Angel” or momma,” the daughter of the late Virginia M. Lomax and Milford Savage, the stepdaughter of John T. Lomax was born on September 21, 1947, and was called to eternal rest on December 30, 2025. Angela gave her life to Christ at a very young age. Angela attended Baltimore City Public Schools. The eldest daughter of Virginia and John was always a helping hand to her parents with her younger siblings. For many years, Angela worked as a Bar manager, and after a successful career, she retired. Being a manager was a true passion for her because she enjoyed meeting people, listening to good music, and having a good time. If you knew Angie, you would love because she was a “Class Act”. Angie always opened her home up for family and friends in need, Cheryl, family and friend she was a good listener and encourager and would be a strong support in tough times for anyone. Always well-groomed with her hair, nails, and attire; never missing a beat with her appearance. Cooking and feeding those around her, taking a cruise, or going to the casino in Atlantic City are things she enjoyed most of all Momma was a great cook and didn’t mind making her best dishes for Michael, Cheryl, family, and friends’ events. Christmas was her favorite holiday, and she would spend hours preparing a feast for family and friends. Angie was a strong, well - spoken woman with a vast memory of people and places. She loved to share stories of her family’s history, about loved one’s past present. Angie was the matriarch for her family and loved when they all came together. It could be eating crabs or playing cards, just as long as they all came together, she would be so happy and smiling from ear to ear. Any time spent at her house, you were bound to have a goodtime filled with lots of love, food, laughter, and memories of old times . Angela, Angie, or Momma, no matter the name you loved to call her, she will be truly missed by all!!!!!!!! Angela is preceded in death by her son, Michel L. Carter Sr, and grandson Devin M. Carter Sr, Mother Virginia M. Lomas, Father Milford Savage, stepfather John T. Lomax, siblings: Kim Lomax-Ellington, Brenda Harris, Michelle Savage, and Stephen Savage, brother -in-law: Leon Miller . Angela’s memory will be cherished by her only daughter, Cheryl Sharp, son-in-law, Patrick Gregg, daughter-in-law, Antoinette Carter, grandchildren: Monique Carter, Michael Carter, Jr., Danielle Carter, Makhai Carter, Maliek Carter, Steven Carter, Sean Carter, and maria Carter, great grandchildren: Rashad, Devin Jr., Jeremiah, Jamiya, Ky’Air, Mason, Sebastian, Eli, and Cairo sisters: Michelle Lomax, Christilia Wideman, Pamela Miller, brothers: brothers: John T. Lomax, John Ronald Lomax, Michael Lomax, Daryl Lomax, and Donald Lomax, Sister-in-laws: Rachel and Mary , brother-in-law: James Wideman, special friend of many years: Willie Gregory and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
