Alphonso Henry Jones Jr.

Alphonso Henry Jones Jr., beloved Husband, Uncle, Brother, Brother-in-law, Friend, and Man of God, transitioned peacefully into eternal rest on Friday April 24th, 2026, at the Blessed age of 70. Born on September 14th, 1955, in Baltimore, Maryland. He was the son of the late Vernice Satterwhite and Alphonso Henry Jones Sr. Alphonso Jones received his early education in the Public Schools of Baltimore, Maryland. He graduated from Forest Park Senior High School and shortly thereafter he became employed at Bethlehem Key Highway shipyard. After Bethlehem Shipyard closed their plant, Alphonso enrolled in an apprenticeship school to become a Machinist where he created custom engine components for various Industries. Alphonso took pride in his work and he performed it with precision and excellence. Alphonso was also called to another job. He was called to work in the Kingdom of God, he was a Man of God at an early age. His first sermon was preached at the age of 14. He continued working for the Lord in a small family church called The Faithful Few. The Lord blessed The Faithful Few and they became Faith Harvest Church of the Lord Jesus Christ, where Alphonso Jones was the Founder and Pastor of Faith Harvest in Baltimore City. Dr Ernest W. Jones was the Spiritual Overseer of Faith Harvest Church. In the year 2004, Pastor Alphonso Jones was introduced to a beautiful woman by the name of Yvette Pinder. Yvette's brother, Reginald Pender introduced Pastor Jones to his sister. Months later in the same year of December 2004, Pastor Alphonso Jones asked Ms. Yvette to be his wife, she said yes! They bonded together for 21 years, their love for one another was undeniable. They were unwavering in their commitment to one another. Throughout Alphonso's many years of illness the Lord provided his wife Yvette with immense strength and patience to be devoted in caring for her husband whom she loved very much. She always referred to him as Honey. In the House Of God, she referred to him as Pastor Jones. In 2020, Pastor Jones and his wife Yvette Jones became members of Fellowship of Faith Church under the leadership of Apostle Mary Hewette, who has since gone home to be with the Lord. Pastor Alphonso and his wife Yvette remained at Fellowship of Faith Church under the new leadership of Pastor Vivian L. Rhames. Pastor Jones has preached and taught many messages there to the building of the Kingdom of God. Alphonso was a sincere praying faithful Man of God till the end of his life. He demonstrated love, kindness, and blessings to those he loved. Alphonso's very last sermon he preached was at the Emmanuel Apostolic Faith Church in Baltimore City, where the pastor is Pastor Adrian C. Barnes, Sr. Alphonso was committed to God, his Wife, his Church, Family and Friends. His life was one of steadfast devotion unto God. He truly demonstrated the love of Christ. Alphonso Jones is survived by his Wife, Yvette Jones, his Brother, Earnest Jones, his Sister-in-law, Cynthia Jones, his niece, Jessica Jones, many other In-laws, Cousins, and Church Members, who loved him dearly. Alphonso may be absent from the body, but now, he's present with the Lord. What a beautiful way to finish your race. Thou good and faithful servant, well done, enter thou into the joy of the Lord.
