Alphonso Jackson Sr.

On May 26, 2012 around 5:20 a.m., after a long stay in Future Care Lochearn Health Care Facility in Baltimore, Maryland; God saw fit to call our beloved one, Alphonso Jackson, Sr. affectionately known as “Bubbles” and “Big Al” home. Alphonso was born in Baltimore, Maryland on June 15, 1933 to the late James and Isabelle Jackson. This was a free-spirited person who loved and enjoyed life to the fullest. Big All could be counted oon by his family and friends. He served several years in the military during the VietNam Era and received an Honorable Discharge. Early in business life, he owned and operated “Bubble’s Carry-Out” and was known for his rotisserie chicken. Big Al was educated in the Baltimore City School System and received an Associate of Arts Degree in Business Administration from Baltimore City Community College. He was a self-taught master mechanic, working many years at Montgomery Ward & Company. He operated several auto repair shops providing a wealth of information on vehicle maintenance and repair and was known to make many repairs free of cost. He was known as the go to guy for any and all car repairs and could diagnosis a problem just by the sound it gave. He will be reunited with his parents as well as sisters, Vernell Gaskins and Gloria Jackson; brothers, Delbert Jackson and Waymond Washington, Jr.; daughter, Terry Jackson; sons, Tyrone Jackson and Alphonso Jackson, Jr.; and niece, Valerie Felder. He leaves to mourn his memory: children, Tammie Bush, James W. McRae, Jr., Rodney Jackson and Catonne Parker; daughters-in-law, Linda McRae and Gina Jackson; son-in-law, Cornell Parker, Sr.; ten grandchildren, Christopher, Cornell, James III, Tanika, Juron, Andre, Jordon, Alexis, David and Norresha; eleven great-grandchildren; brothers-in-law, Joseph Gaskins, James Wells, Sr. and Tyrone Wells, Sr.; sisters-in-law, Emma Dean Wells, Lillian Frederick and Rose Wells; nieces, Shelwyn Gaskins and Renea Gaskins; nephews, Durant Gaskins, Camillus Gaskins and Marvin Brooks; great-nieces, Sherron, Shermaine, Shalonda, Angela, Tiara, Ivy, Camilla, Paris, Sharnea. Arnetta, Taila and Tiala; great-nephews, Durrell, Wayne, Marquis, Kenneth and Trey; great-great-nieces, Skye and Jayda; great-great-nephew, Jamel; and a host of other family members and friends including ex-wives, Victoria Bailey and Marion Harris; and devoted friend, Mary “Ruthie” Randalls.
