Alice Geneva Bellamy

ALICE GENEVA BELLAMY was born on March 25, 1934 in Clarendon, North Carolina. She was the oldest of six children born to the late Reverend Isaiah Keel and Delphia Hill Keel. She was predeceased by siblings Willie Keel, Henry Keel, and David Keel. She is survived by her sister Nancy Pirllean Kelly and her brother Reverend James Leroy Keel. Alice reached the age of 84 on March 25, 2018. Alice was joined in matrimony to the late Lemore Bellamy. From that union three children were born, and two children from Mr. Bellamy's previous marriage became her children too. Alice was mother to Mary Magdalene Bellamy Chestnut, De Lois Billups, Thomas Lee Bellamy, Herbert Bellamy and Helen Bellamy Graham. She was predeceased by her daughter, Mary Magdalene Chestnut. Alice loved her family and devoted her life to making sure they were well cared for and loved. Alice attended public school in Clarendon, North Carolina. She lived and worked in Baltimore, MD for the majority of her adult life. She resided in the Pimlico area for many years and was a good friend and neighbor. They will miss her dearly. On April 9, 2018 after a very brief illness, God called Alice to be with Him in Paradise. Alice reached out her hand and He lovingly guided her home. "Praise God from whom all blessings flow". Alice gave her life to Christ at a very early age as she was raised in a God-fearing home. She could be heard daily saying, "The first thing I do when I wake up is thank God for new day and my soul salvation and I ask Him to bless all my family." She knew that God was first in all things. She cared deeply for her family and friends. She leaves to mourn: her two daughters De Lois Billups and Helen Ann Graham; two sons, Thomas Lee Bellamy and Herbert Bellamy (Ethel); grandchildren, Larry Chestnut, Michael Chestnut, Candaceh Chapman, Mark Chestnut (Demetria), Alice McCray (Franklin), Donnell Bellamy, Henry Billups III, Keith Graham, Kevin Graham, Michael Graham, Jonathan Graham, Franklin Bellamy, and Valerie Bellamy; great-grandchildren, Tyler Chestnut, Candra McNeill, Shannon McNeill, Dishan Chapman, Kira Chapman, James W. Chestnut, Jozelyn A. Chestnut, Rico Gibson, Jonathan T. Chestnut, Derrounce McCray, Mary Magdalene McCray; great-great-grandchidren, Ithan McNeil, Daveah McNeill, Damadia McNeill; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
