ALBERT LEE PITTMAN, III, was born to Albert lee Pittman, Jr. and Dorothy Elvira Pittman on April 7, 1991 in Baltimore, Maryland. He departed this life on Monday, July 18, 2016. Albert was educated in the Baltimore City Public School System. He was a member of THREAD (formerly Incentive Mentoring Program) joining in 2007 and graduating from Francis M. Wood High School in 2010. Albert met and began dating the love of his life; his fiance' Shawnrice Kelly affectionately called “Reci”. They were blessed with one child who was nurtured with unconditional love. Al loved his family fiercely and lived for his son. Weekdays were filled walks to school; weekends with football practice and games. His goal in life was to be a good father to little Al and just that he was. Albert was affectionately known as “Al”. He was a man that made no excuses for protecting or caring for the people around him. He was meticulous in his endeavors and worked diligently to strengthen his family and ensure his own success. Always looking to reach a higher goal in spite of what many thought of him, he was a proud man who stood by his beliefs. He was a hard task master and leader but was easy to follow. Al really loved his family... always his #1 priority! He made it his business to make sure his family did not need or want for anything. He was a supporter of his family, an amazing fiance' to Reci and a wonderful father to his one and only “Baby Al”. He had a passion for sports like non other, especially his love for football, which he has embedded in his son Albert Lee Pittman, IV. He always took time out for family time which was a must... whether it was playing sports, attending Baby Al's football practice or games, being a chaperone for school events etc.. There wasn't anything he couldn't or wouldn't do. He took pride in everything he did in allaspects of life. He also loved his quality time enjoying watching movies, being around his family and siblings, playing games or listening to music. One of his favorite artists was the Temptations... old school music. Al was a loving and caring individual. He had very high spirits and was outgoing and energetic. He loved enjoying life and having fun. If there was a party or family event he was the life of the party. He also had a serious side about him and was not afraid to speak up when it mattered and did so with his “uncensored” way of words; however, when he did speak we always knew it was from the heart. As we all remember, Al definitely was a special kind of character always had the biggest smile on his face that made everyone around his smile from ear to ear, and was sure to keep you laughing. Above all, he was a dedicated family man... very protective over his son, nephews, and the females of the family. He truly cared for those around him, especially his extended family from THREAD... Sarah, Julia, Kendra and many more just to name a few. He considered everyone he came in contact with at THREAD his extended family members. There was a bond of commitment, friendship, and fellowship with them. It was natural for the extended family from THREAD to always stop by to check up on Al and his family, which was most appreciative. On Monday, July 18, 2016 God dispatched an angel and closed the “Book of Life” on Albert Lee Pittman, III, to depart from his earthly body to be present with his Heavenly Father. Al peacefully bid us farewell, and the angels took him up in the wind, and escorted him safely home where our Heavenly Father welcomed him with open arms. Our entire family suffered a heartbreaking loss. Today, and in the days that follow, we mourn the passing of Albert L. Pittman III. He leaves to cherish his memory and to carry on his life and legacy: his mother, Dorothy Pittman and father, Albert Pittman, Jr.; three sisters, Amesha Pittman, Jamia Forrester and Jasmine Nixon; one brother, John R. Jordan, III; his fiance' Shawnrice “Reci” Kelly; one son, Albert L. Pittman, IV; three nephews, Michael Westbrook, Jr., Mason Westbrook and Detrich Jordan; and one grandfather, Albert Lee Pittman, Sr. Al also leaves to mourn, a host of uncles, aunts, cousins, and a host of other relatives and friends and a network of folks who will miss him very much. His infectious smile and warm spirit will be tremendously missed by his loving family and friends alike.
