Adrian Wilson

With faith in God's promise of eternal life, we celebrate the life of Adrian Wilson, who was born on February 6, 1952, in Baltimore, Maryland, and was called home to be with the Lord on April 19, 2026, after battling a debilitating illness. We take comfort in knowing that God welcomed him with open arms, saying, "Well done, my good and faithful servant. Adrian, also affectionately known as Bunny, was the eldest child of the late Glenn and Frances E. Wilson. From an early age, he was a loving and dependable presence in his family, helping care for his two younger siblings. Later in life, he continued that devotion by joining his sister in caring for their father. At an early age, Adrian accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior, and his faith remained an important part of his life. He attended Baltimore City Public Schools and graduated from Baltimore City College in 1971, where he ran cross country and earned several letters. During his youth, including his high school years, he worked as a lifeguard and developed a lifelong love for swimming. He later attended Coppin State University, where he became a proud member of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Incorporated. Adrian was also commissioned as an officer in the Army National Guard, serving with honor and distinction. He married Evelyn Johnston, and from that union two exceptional children were born. Adrian was a devoted and proud father who consistently encouraged his children to pursue their goals and dreams. He was deeply proud to watch both of his children grow into successful adults, and he cherished the joy of becoming a grandfather to his two grandsons. Adrian enjoyed many passions throughout his life. He was an avid chess player who competed in numerous tournaments and loved sharing his knowledge of the game by teaching children at a chess club. He also enjoyed roller skating, basketball, and music. Professionally, Adrian was a well-loved and respected supervisor with the United States Postal Service, where he served for 40 years before retiring. After his retirement from the Postal Service, he embarked on another career with United Parcel Service. He was preceded in death by his parents, Glenn and Frances E. Wilson, and his brother, Glenn Wilson, Jr. He is lovingly remembered by his son, Dr. Adrian J. Wilson (Dr. Jennifer J. Wilson); his daughter, Dr. Arianne M. Wilson; his former wife, Evelyn J. Wilson; his beloved grandsons, Adrian Glenn and Ashton Alexander; his sister Deaconess Stephanee K. Flood (Deacon James, Jr); sisters-in-law Dorothy J, Savage, Deborah Vaughn, nephews, Deacon George F. Savage IV (Renee), Andrew A. Wilson (Kim) and Pastor Aaron W. Flood (Crystal); nieces Ericka S. Harris (Marvin), Ajuewa A Wilson; and a host of other loving relatives and dear friends. Adrian's kindness, service, and compassion leave precious memories of his love, devotion, and good deeds that will truly be missed by his family and many friends. The memories of his conversations, encouragement, and countless acts of kindness will forever live in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
