Walter Lee Harvell

Legacy of Love Walter Lee Harvell, 60, of Henrico, Virginia departed this life Friday March 8, 2019 to the pearly gates of heaven. He was born July 8, 1958 to the union of the late Bertha and Moses in Lawrenceville, Virginia. LeeLee was preceded in death by his siblings, Glenda Mae Harvell, Anna R. Harvell, Mary Johnson, Moses P. Harvell, Jr. and Perry A. Harvell. LeeLee received his formal education in the Dinwiddie Public School system. He united in holy matrimony to his companion, Mary Denise Richardson in Richmond, Virginia on August 15, 1989. LeeLee was formally employed by Carter Printing Company as a print maker. He retired after 30 years of dedicated service. LeeLee accepted Christ as his Lord and Savior at an early age and was united with Trinity Baptist Church. He was a faithful member, however, as his health declined he was no longer able to attend. LeeLee was a member of Westside Hunting Club for over 25 years in McKenney, Virginia. In his leisure, LeeLee enjoyed fishing, hunting for deer and rabbits and listening to gospel music. He was also a excellent cook with his specialty being broccoli casserole. He was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother and uncle of strength and honor that provided for his family and had an awesome love for family. LeeLee adored his grandchildren and always welcomed them into his open arms. He also was a caring father to his children’s friends and others in the neighborhood. He leaves to cherish his loving memory a devoted wife of 30 years, Mary Denise Harvell; daughter, Takeisha Richardson; son, Keith Richardson (Alicia); seven grandchildren, Kerod, Keyvasia, Keira, Vajahnae, Keith Jr., Kemon and Zakia; three sisters, Nancy Lurry of McKenney, Thelma Fields of Richmond and Mozelle Jeffries (Henry) of Emporia; three brothers, Gary L. Harvell, Michael Harvell and William Elder, all of Richmond; a sister-in-law, Carolyn Richardson; three brothers-in-law, William Johnson, Maurice Richardson and James Richardson; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends; one devoted friend, William Johnson. Our Dad My father is a man like no other. He gave me life, nurtured me, taught me, dressed me, fought for me, held me, shouted at me, kissed me, but most importantly loved me unconditionally. There are not enough words I can say to describe just how important my father was to me, and what a powerful influence he continues to be. I Love You Daddy!
