Tiarra N. Blake

TIARRA NICOLE BLAKE, was born on March 31, 1984 and God knew on this day that he had prepared a place for you. An early morning dawning at 2:15 a.m. on Friday. April 15, 2011, the trumpet sounded for Tiarra Nicole Blake. She gladly answered the call, for it was her time to go. Much has been done in the seventeen years that she graced this earth. From early childhood, Tierra has been known for her “winning smile.” Just that smile would light up the room. Her education, because of her special needs was received at William S. Baer School where she received rewards in 1997 and 2006 for Queen of Hearts. She also attended the George McMechen School and lastly attended Maiden Choice. She was nicknamed “The Diva” because of the way her mother dressed her. Nicknamed given to her by her mother and other were Princess Tiarra, Apple Pie, Snuggly Buggly Bear, T.T. by grandma Mary and Lucy Goosey by her Nana Donna. Some of her favorite pastimes were cuddling with her Mom on the sofa everyday, watching television, going to church, listening to music and like all teenagers, shopping at the mall. In her seventeen years here on earth, she was a member of Eternal Life Full Gospel Christian Center, Inc., where she loved her Pastor and the Praise and Worship. The miracle of many prayers, sleepless nights and numerous phone calls from Pastor Hargrove has sustained her life past the two year expectancy given by the doctors. Several nurses are accredited with giving great care to Tiarra. They are Agnes Lubega and Cecelia Takwi who were her nurses for the past several years and nurse Jane Moijeuh who took care of her for the past ten years. Tiara made numerous friends wherever she went and she was very much loved by many. In 2010 The Make A Wish Foundation granted her wish on the Disney Cruise Ship to the Bahamas. She laughed all five days and was treated like a princess the entire time. Tiara leaves to cherish her memory: loving mother, Tracey; father, Darryle; brother, Little Darryle; two grandmothers, Mary Smith of Seaford, Delaware and Donna Lee of Baltimore, Maryland; grandfather, John Parker, Jr. of Baltimore, Maryland; great-grandmother, Naomi Wagstaff of Baltimore, Maryland; favorite cousin, Kissiah Burvig of Dover, Delaware; godparent, Andre and Yvette Lynch of Baltimore, Maryland; a host of other relatives and friends.
