Tasha Rana Green

Tasha Rana Green, a burst of radiant joy and brilliant light, made her grand entrance into the world on Valentine's Day February 14,1973 in Okinawa, Japan. With every heartbeat, she infused love into the lives of those she cherished. Her heart was as vivacious as a dance and as animated as the music she held close to her soul. Guiding, advising, and imparting wisdom, Tasha left an indelible mark on all who were blessed to cross her path. It is a tribute to her level-headedness and strength that despite the most different-like life imaginable after her childhood, she remained intact, true to herself. Tasha attended Morgan State University and graduated from Baltimore Culinary Institute as a Chef de partie. She started her career as a tour guide at Smithsonian Institute, Sr. Customer Representative for Wells Fargo. She moved her family to Henrico County to follow her mom and worked for Amica as an Assistant Manager. Tasha and Troy joined Trinity Baptist church ministered by Dr. A. Lincoln James. A maestro in the kitchen, Tasha enjoyed hosting and cooking, she made every gathering a masterpiece of laughter, and unity. She generously shared her culinary prowess, igniting a zest for food in everyone around her. She savored every flavor and spice that life had to offer. With a fervent passion for all things musical, hip-hop holding a special place in her heart, she embraced the myriad colors, textures, and diversities of life and danced to those rhythms unapologetically. Tasha's vibrancy was not just evident in her spirited heart and soul, but also in her self-expression— always and she ceremoniously wore the crown of a Queen in life. Anchored in love, Tasha found her belonging in a close-knit community of family and friends, near and far -- woven like a tapestry with threads of love. On Saturday, September 16, 2023, she was released into eternity, leaving behind a cherished legacy of enduring memories. She was a melody of inspiration, a dance of light, and those of us left to remember her will sing a song of love and gratitude in our hearts forever. She leaves to celebrate her memory: her husband and soul mate Troy LeCount Green; her most precious loved gifts to the world -- their light bearers; Trinity Angelique Green, Tre’ Anthony Green; Her best friend and mother; Margaret Suiter Freeman; her father and rock Walter Raleigh Wesley (Sandra); the sunshine in her smile sisters: Hope Crystal Wesley-Feaster (Ellis) and Yvette Christina Wesley, (fiancé-Michael); the laughter in her heart niece Sierra Todd; the pride in her eyes nephews, Rommel Winkler, Dillon Todd, Justin Duncan, Justin Bratcher. Her extended family, Mother-in-law, Sarah Green; Sister in laws, Yolanda Green, Natalie Green; Father-in-law, Victor Green (Karen).
