Sean Devon Gamble Sr.

SEAN DEVON GAMBLE, SR., know as “Loz” given by his oldest brother “John Jr.”, son of Elder John Gamble, Sr. and Missionary Lucette Gamble, Born at 4:29 a.m on March 4, 1988 in Baltimore, Maryland. He departed this life suddenly on Sunday, January 9, 2011. He received his education in the Baltimore County Public School System. During his high school years, he attended Woodlawn High School and sang on the Chamber and honors Chorale Choir under the direction of Ms. Carlton. Sean loved to sing all around the house with his brother James (Redz), also given by his brother “John Jr.” They sang so much that it drove their Dad crazy. The love of their singing landed them a spot on the “Baltimore County Choir”. This allowed them to perform at The Meyerhoff Symphony in 2004-2005. Sean also played on the Junior Varsity and Varsity Football teams at Woodlawn High School which was coached by Coach Hart. He love the sports so munch, as a child, he talked about going Pro. He was on his way. In his young adult life, he played Semi-Pro with the Admirals and The Saints, in which the Saints won the Championship in 2010. Sean has also participated in the “100 Strong Male Role Models Mentoring Program for approximately two years. Sean is a member of The Church of Jesus Christ, Inc. where his grandfather is the Pastor and Founder. He was baptized at the young age. He not only loved football but he also loved the Lord with all his heart. Many times the Holy Ghost fell on Sean and he began to shout, dance and praise the Lord in the beauty of Holiness. We can see him now praising God, to the Glory of God, with tears running down his face. I can hear Sean singing one of his songs, “Has the Lord done anything for you come on and say, “You alto run and tell that”. “I’m a living witness, the Lord will bring you through, “You alto run and tell that”. On Tuesday, Jan. 4, 2011 he was at the church for prayer service and he told his Dad that he enjoyed the prayer that his father rendered to the Lord; not knowing that this would be the last time we would see him. He was employed with Stericycle located in Baltimore, Maryland. He was engaged to be married to Laura Long on May 26, 2011. They conceived a son, Sean D. Gamble, Jr. (Mook). Sean really was a good provider for his family. Sean, his siblings and cousins, when growing up, would play WWE wrestling in their living room. They would sit around the table laughing and talking about any and everything. They also made up a song for their mom, “Mommie “. While their father would be sleep, Sean and his siblings and cousins would put paper in his ears and sit back and laugh. His famous phrases were, “WE DA BEST” and “MY LORD MY LORD”. He was a honest and real young man. He loved to be with his family and friends. Sean enjoyed making everyone laugh. Sean made numerous friends wherever he went and will be sincerely missed by everyone he came in contact with. He leaves to mourn: his father, Elder John Gamble, Sr.; his mother, Missionary Lucette Gamble; his son, Sean D Gamble, Jr.; his Fiancee, Laura Long; mother-in-law to be, Karen Knaebel; godmother, Bridgett Merritt; two brothers, John X. Gamble, Jr. and James A. Gamble,IV; two sisters, Deidra Gamble- Henderson and Jessica Gamble; brother-in-law, Jeffery Henderson; brother-in-law, Jeffery Henderson; closer than a cousin, Martin Gamble, Jr., Dewayne Gamble and (preceded before him, Anthony Boyce); five grandparents, Bishop James A. Gamble, III, Mother Gertrude Gamble, Deacon Lester Tolliver, Grace Tolliver and Dorothy Tolliver; seven aunts, Cindy Gamble, Rachel Crawley, Deborah Tolliver, Vanessa Boyd, Juanita Gamble, Yvonne Gamble and Danielle Rhodes; Yvonne Gamble and Danielle Rhodes; fives uncles, Jerry Gamble, Sr., Steven Gamble Sr., Martin Gamble, Sr., Bradley Sorrell and (preceded before him Lester Tolliver, Jr.); five nieces, Cieona Coates, Syniah Henderson, Ja’niya Henderson, Jazmon Henderson and Jy’ia Henderson; three nephews, Karron Gamble, James Gamble,V. and Jeffrey Henderson Jr.; a host of great-aunts, great-uncles, cousins, other relatives and friends. He also had many close friends known as brothers to him.
