Ronald D. Irving

Obituary Ronald Darnell Irving was born in Salem Massachusetts on March 23, 1963, to Robert and Evadnie Willkie Irving Sr. He was preceded in death by his parents, Evadnie and Robert Irving Sr, brother, Robert C. Irving Jr. and brother Clinton J. Irving. Ronald was educated in the public schools of Salem, Massachusetts and Richmond, Virginia. While attending Huguenot High School he was on the wrestling team and football team. Following his graduation from Huguenot High School, he attended Virginia State University and ECPI majoring in computer technology. He worked in several professional Information Technology positions from the following companies: Defense Logistics Agency formerly known as Defense Supply Center of Richmond (Bellwood), International Mission Board and Henrico County (Public Library and Mental Health Clinic). He retired from Henrico Area Mental Health & Developmental Services. In 1994, Ronald married Navon Allen and from this union they became the proud parents of two sons, Brandon S. Irving, and Robert C. Irving II. This marriage lasted for 24 years. Ronald accepted Christ at an early age at St Philips then rededicated his life to Christ in 2022. He was a Cub Scout in Salem Massachusetts then later in life he became Cub Scout Leader for Troop 868 in Chesterfield. Ronald has served as commissioner of Central Virginia America Youth Football League since its creation in 2015. He was an entrepreneur in the following areas: Photography, filmography, and video editing for events; Private Information Technology services to include CCTV security installation, personal computer repair; and retail clothing industry. He leaves to cherish his memory, sons, Brandon Irving and Robert Irving II; sister, Major Miriam I. Fisher (Calvin); two nieces and three nephews; 1 great niece and 2 great nephews; two Aunts, June Hunter and Sandra Price; Uncle, Wayne Irving; devoted companion, Roberta Bonaparte and her family; 4 devoted friends, Micheal Jones, Daniel Brooks, Brenard Leak and Donald Page; and a host of other relatives and friends. Remains rest at March Funeral Home, 2110 E. Laburnum Ave., The Viewing will be held 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Friday 21st of June 2024, the family will be in attendance from 5 to 6 p.m. The funeral service at 8:30 a.m. to 10 a.m., 22nd of June 2024 at March Funeral Home.
