Rennard Anthony Walker

RENNARD “NODDY” ANTHONY WALKER was born on August 29, 1950 in Baltimore, Maryland to the late Nathaniel Obie Walker Sr. and Delores Sylvia Kent Walker. After contending with a lengthy illness, Rennard was called home to be with the Lord on April 17, 2013. Noddy, the second oldest of six children, was preceded in death by his father, Nathaniel O. Walker Sr.; his sister, Irene Dawkins; his two brothers, Larry A. Walker and Nathaniel O. Walker Jr.; his two brothers-in-law, William L. Kelly Jr. and Hazim T. Abdulghaffar; and his nephew, Patrick A. Washington. Noddy received his formal education from the Baltimore City Public School System. His strong work ethic was evident early in his life. He retained employment at a very early age and remained determined to further his work experience. He was successful in his efforts and was hired as a warehouse worker for Cloverland Green Spring Dairy. From Cloverland, he ventured on to Good Humor as a foreman. During his time at Good Humor, he gained additional job skills, but most importantly he found the love of his life, Jacqueline Yvonne Walker; whom he would later marry. After meeting his bride and planning for their future, Noddy switched gears and retained employment at Esskay Quality Meat Company. Esskay was a good opportunity, but Noddy found the next and better position with Lyon, Conklin and Company, Inc. He was big on learning and growing as a person; he was very knowledgeable and could speak on any subject. Lyon, Conklin and Company would not hold Noddy a minute longer than he wanted, so he made his final career change to Quest International Flavors; where he worked the majority of his later years until his retirement. Noddy married the love of his life, Jacqueline Yvonne Walker on October 27, 1985 and they shared the next twenty-eight years together. When Noddy united with Jackie, he also united with her family, who embraced and loved him as their own. Out of their union they were blessed with three daughters, Russia, Shantay and Crystal; and one son, Keith. Noddy was a devoted and loyal son, brother, husband, father, uncle and friend. His happiest moments were spent with his loved ones. His family could call at anytime and gain wisdom or a good heartfelt laugh. He remained embraced in his family’s love throughout his life and up to him being called home to Glory. He leaves to cherish his memory: his loyal and loving wife, Jacqueline Yvonne Walker; one son, Keith A. Brown; three daughters, Russia E. Williams, Shantay M. and Crystal A. Walker; one son-in-law, Damian Williams; his mother, Delores Sylvia Kent Walker; his mother-in-law and father-in-law, Yvonne D. and Wesley Henson; two sisters, Delnora L. Kelly and Patricia A. Walker; three sisters-in-law, Jean R. Wright, Michelle L. McPhail and Sybil Walker; four brothers-in-law, Gary Henson, Michael Henson, Gary Dawkins and Gregory C. McPhail; seven grandchildren, Yasmiyn Gilmore, Tariq Berkeley, Shakirah Brown, Keith A. Brown Jr., Kamonie A. Brown, Niguel Brown and “Pop-Pop's girl”, Amiya D. Ward; sixteen nieces, Stacie, Ebonie, Shakirah, Bianca, Tiffany, Terel, Joy, Cache, Melissa, Chasity, Christina, Shaynee, Shakiera, Sabrina, Jennifer and Tonya; six nephews, Brandon, Carson, Kimbrough, Derek, Nathaniel and Larry Jr.; and a host of extended family and friends. Rennard Anthony Walker’s presence will live on FOREVER!
