Phillip Jones Jr.

Phillip Jones,Jr. was born October 28, 1970,at University Hospital at 3:332 pm on a bright sunny afternoon in Baltimore, Maryland to Yolanda Sue Clark (Stevenson) and the late Phillip Jones, Sr. Phil received his education through Baltimore city school system. Phil started his schooling at Westside Elementary School then Lemmel Middle School and attended Carver Vocational High School. For those who did not know , Phil was an excellent baseball player who almost went pro. Phil was also known as the ladies man! Phil also held several jobs , including Healthcare Financing Administration in the mail room and Len Stoler where he transported cars. He really loved that job! But one thing for sure- Phil could clean a house. I'm talking about old school get on your knees to clean a floor type of cleaning. Throughout the course of his life, he gained many friends and if there were any enemies we sure didn't know because no matter where he went, Phil was LOVED! The 2400 block of Woodbrook Ave was some of the best times of Phil's childhood. From sleepovers with cousin Leslie who would beg our father to come over all the time and his best friend Brandon Lee was always at the house. 2440 Woodbrook holds so many memories for our family. But throughout the years Druid Hill, Penn North, and Whitelock became his stomping ground; still not to far from Woodbrook Ave. Phil absolutely loved his family and friends. Phil was fortunate to have the privileged of 2 fathers who loved him dearly. His biological father and his stepfather treated and loved him just like he love his own, Robert West, Sr. Phil had so many trials and challenges throughout his life, Phil began to appreciate his love for the creator Jehovah God. Phil attended meetings at the Kingdom Hall , assembly, regional convention, and most of all the Memorial of Jesus Christ, Although he never dedicated his life to Jehovah, he never forgot Jehovah and Jesus Christ. John 17:3, "This means every lasting life their coming to know you the only true God and the one whom you sent Jesus Christ." And through that knowledge, he came to appreciate the Bible's hope of resurrection. Phil was know for his bright smile and those hazel eyes. So much to the point he was nicknamed, Eyes". There was nothing Phil wouldn't do for you if he could. Phil was spoiled to the core by our mother Linda. Grandmother Josebell, Aunt Carolyn, Aunt Bessie and his sister Onika who could do know wrong in her eyes. Phil had many highlights in his life that he was so prod of... his children and seeing his first born nephew Terrance get drafted into the NFL. On Sundays or any day that Terrance was playing, you could rest assure he was somewhere cheering him on! Phil is already truly missed and will continue to be loved forever. Phil was preceded in death by his father Phillip Jones, Sr. , his son Darvin L Jones. Grandmother Josebell Cox (Walter Cox) Aunt Brenda Suggs, Stepfather Robert West, Sr., and Grandmother Irene B. West. Phil leaves to mourn his mother Yolanda S. Stevenson (Larry) Children Kedrick, Dominic, Parrish, Davon, Brenia, Jahair, and Jordon, Brother Robert West Jr., Sister Crystal Jones, Sister Linette Poole, Brother Kevin Jones, Sister Onika West, Sister Yolanda West- Woodberry (Emory) Brother Frederick West, Grandmother Katherine Jones (Suffolk, Va), and 8 beautiful granchildren Ty'Nia, Karli, Kennedy, Chloe ,Zuri, and Darvin. His closes nieces and nephews are Terrance, Daquan, Wendell, Jaya, Charday, Janae, Wendee, RyeNisha, Alliyah, Lundynn and Aniyah. A HUGE HOST of other nieces, nephews, cousins friends, great nieces, and nephews and his children's mother's whom he had great relationships with. Eugene Leslie Muhammad was not only his cousin, but just like a brother as his childhood partners in adventures. There are to many to mention, but please know he loved all of his family and friends. Revalations 21:4 And he will wipe every tear from their eyes and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry no pain be anymore the former things that passed away.
