Paul E. Green

Paul E. Green, son of the late Beulah Huggins Thomas and the late step- Rev. Stephen Thomas, was born on September 1, 1930 in Mullins South Carolina at Mullins Hospital at 2:30 A.M. He transitioned from here to glory on November 5, 2015 at Good Samaritan Nursing Home Center. Paul received his education in Mullins, South Carolina, He traveled a bit various cities. He eventually moved to Baltimore, MD he Married the late Ethel Green in 1964, Paul and “Aunt Ethel” were Married for 32 years she departed this life on July 25, 1996. Paul worked miscellaneous handyman type jobs. He last worked for the late Mr. Albert E. Lietzau III and his wife Mrs. Katherine Lietzau, who were very fond of Paul and great friends to him. Paul loved music and back in the day used to sing with group of men on the corner , quartet style. Paul had a quiet demeanor. He was caring, encouraging, and witty, He liked westerns and wresting (Friday night smack-down). HE LOVED his sister Mildred home lip-smacking, toe-tapping, finger- licking good food. He had a small frame, but boy could he eat! Many times after he ate, he would sigh and say “Damn I'm full” When asked, “Paul are you saved? Have you ever accepted Jesus as your Lord and Savior? Have you confessed with your mouth and believe in your heart that Jesus Christ is Lord?” He replied “I don't know about all that, but I Believe”. Paul would quote the 23rd Psalm and the Lord and when in dire pain, “Lord will me”. Paul was preceded in death by his wife, Ethel and sister Mary Lee Bell Anderson. Paul was loved and knew it. He will continue to be loved by family, friends, and most important, our Lord and Savior. Paul leaves to cherish his memory his two sisters, Mrs. Mildred Priscilla Powell and Alice Darlene Thomas; one brother, Harold Stephen Thomas; one uncle, William Huggins (Mary Huggins); caregiver & great friend, Miss Leanna Chainey; two nieces, Pomra Powell and Cynthia House, one nephew, Wayne Thomas, great nieces, great nephews (very fond of DeMuriel J. Purnell, called him “Nephew”); many cousins; friends, the Lietzau family, Ms. Peggy and a host of other relatives
