Leta Yvette Crenshaw

A faithful Christian woman, devoted, and beloved sister, Leta Crenshaw was born on November 15, 1957 in Richmond, Virginia to the late Norman and Mabel Crenshaw. The Lord called her home on January 7, 2018, where she is now resting in the loving arms of her Savior. Leta, lovingly nicknamed "Lee-Tee" & "Leta-Bug", graduated from Varina High School and went on to attend J. Sargeant Reynolds before earning her B.S. from Virginia Commonwealth University. She also attended the Bible Institute in which she completed top of her class. She worked as a hematologist for the Virginia Cancer Institute for 26 years. There she boldly shared her faith with her employers, co-workers as well as her patients. Leta gave her heart to Jesus Christ on September 30, 1980. She attended Abundant Life Bible Mission in Petersburg, Virginia for over 26 years. There she received a solid foundation in the Word of God under Norman Griffin, senior pastor. Her devotion to the Lord was evident in her many areas of service through the years. They include the following: Bible Club teacher, Children's Church Teacher, Choir Member, Assistant Choir Director, Youth Bible Camp Nurse, Missionary Supporter, Floral Decorator, First Aid Church Nurse, Creative Artist, Skilled Cook, and Prayer Warrior. She later joined Cornerstone Baptist Church in Chesterfield in 2008 under the leadership of Pastor Stanley Bennett where she continued her Christian journey serving in both the mass choir and nursery ministries. She leaves to cherish her memory her brother, Norman Crenshaw (Jacqueline); three devoted sisters, Beverly Crenshaw, Linda Warlington, and Terri Crenshaw; her nephew Jonathan Warlington; devoted cousins, Valarie Lawson (Jeffrey), Jarrel and Joshua; caring brother-in-law, Leon Warlington as well as a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. Never afraid to share her faith, Leta led many to a saving knowledge of Jesus Christ including several of her family members. Her life scripture and testimony is found in Jeremiah 31:3 The Lord hat appeared f old unto me, saying, Yea, I have loved thee with an everlasting love: therefore with loving kindness have I drawn thee.
