Edith G. Pugh

II Timothy 4:7 Edith Geraldine Pugh, the elder daughter of Lindsay and Editha Douglas, was born on April 20, 1954, in Baltimore, Maryland. She departed this life on August 29, 2015. At an early an age, she took great pride in learning. Edith received her education in the Baltimore City Public School System. On June 16th , 1972, she graduated from Eastern High School. Determined to strive for a higher education, she continued pursuing her studies at Towson State College from September 1972 until June 1976. Edith married Henry Pugh, Sr. on January 16th 1974. She later moved to Oceanside, CA and from this union they one son, Henry Lee Pugh, Jr. She was employed at Cuba Communication in Oceanside, CA from 1978 through 1979. When she returned from California, she was employed at the University of Maryland Medical Center from 1984 to 1986. November 23, 1987, Edith was employed with the Baltimore City Police Department until her departing of this Life. In December of 1993, she was promoted to police Human Resources Associate. Edith was a caring, and loving person. As an extremely dedicated employee, she was always ready and willing to give advice. Edith accepted the Lord as her personal Savior in October of 1984 at Trinity A. M.E. Church under Rev. Willie K. Woods. She became an active member serving the Lord on various ministries: Vice Chair of the Steward Board, President of Stewardess Board, Stewardship & Financial Committee, Lay Organization, Intercessory Prayer Ministry, Usher Board, Youth Ministry Advisory, Culinary Ministry, and Bible Study classes until her death would no longer allow her to perform the Lord's work. Edith was humbled, devoted, and God fearing woman, from a very young age. She was intelligent beyond her years, which led to her love of reading books. Edith looked forward to many outings with her sisters, grandchildren and extended family, and her item of choice that brought her much joy was shoes. Edith enjoyed cooking and baking, especially during holidays. She was loyal, supportive, dedicated and her hardworking spirit will continue to be felt throughout the lives of those she impacted. He father and brother preceded her death: Lindsay Douglass and Leroy O. Douglass. Edith will be truly missed. She leaves to cherish her pleasant memories, her husband Henry Lee Pugh, Sr. son Henry Lee Pugh, Jr. ; mother Editha Douglass; mother-in-law Rebecca Pugh; sisters Deborah Armstead (William), Ruth Fitzgerald (Gregory), Mary Pridgen (Clarence), brother James G. Douglass (Michelle), two grandchildren Taylor Pugh, Christopher Pugh, sister-in-law Tina, Marsha, brother-in-law Randy, and a host of uncles, aunts, cousins, nieces, nephew sand friends.
