Delores Mobley

Delores Mobley, daughter of the late Frizell Jeffers and Mary Hollins, was born in Rocksboro, North Carolina on March 31, 1954. She departed this life suddenly on July 5, 2017. Delores, affectionately known as "Loisey", was educated in the Baltimore City Public School system. Her dreams of working in public health came true when she completed training and accepted a position at Stella Maris Nursing Home as a GNA. She continued her training throughout her four-year career with Stella Maris and then accepted a position with Maryland Healthcare Clinic. While there, Delores worked as a CNA in the physical therapy department. She continued working in the healthcare management field, accepting a position that lead to a career at Kaiser Permanente. Her career ended with Kaiser Permanente when she decided to retire after 16 years of service. "Loisey" met the love of her life, Roy Mobley (who proceeded her in death, in 1987 and the two became one in 1990. With this union a blended family was created. The union brought together six children. One son, Michael "Mike-Mike" Pryor, earned his heavenly wings in 2010. Delores loved her family. She enjoyed taking small family tips and having small cookouts. She could often be found visiting childhood friends and looked forward to the East Baltimore Reunions. She truly was the "mouth" of every party and family event. Delores was "Grandma Loisey" to so many, even those who weren't family. You could always hear her voice giving parenting advice, even if she wasn't asked to do so. A voice in the community, Delores was an advocate for the children. With sheer determination, she successfully petitioned the city of Baltimore to renovate Briscoe Park. Today, the park houses up to date equipment and the children are able to play safely. Her name will forever be connected to zone 18 for positive enrichment of our youth. Delores leaves to cherish her memory: A loving mother, Mary Hollins; five children, Allen Mahomes (Stacey) and their children, Allen, Aaron & Shaneace; Frenchette Rosemond (Michael) and their children, Capria, Mariah, Marquis, Miles & Liyah; Terrance and his chiildren, TT, Brittney, Bobby & Ikia; Tanya and her children, LaTanya and LaTasha; Kevin and his children; One very special Granddaugher, Micheala Pryor; Four Brothers, Garry, Larry, Michael and Theron; One sister, Denise Jeffers; One dedicated aunt, Lois and a host of other relatives and friends.
