Deborah D. Jones

Deborah Jones was the daughter of Doris and Ruben Dashield. She was born on September 14, 1951 in Baltimore, Maryland. She departed this life on December 27, 2006, after fighting for the last five years with many illnesses. Deborah has no more pain. She has given her hand to her Lord and Savior.She was married to the late Robert E. Jones. From that marriage they bore five children, Yvonne who preceded her in death, Roberdette, Robert who preceded her in death, Delrod and Darryl.She received her education from the Baltimore City public schools. After having all her kids, she went back to school to pursue and received her nursing degree. She immediately started workd as a private duty nurse for the sick.Deborah loved to help people especially the elderly. She dedicated a lot of her time as a volunteer nurse. She was an active member of Emmanuel Christian Community Church since joining in or around 1989, where she was a nurse. She performed nursing workshops on taking blood pressure, nursed at funeral services at the church and away from the church. Deborah would go wherever she was called to go. Deborah enjoyed helping and caring for people at her church until her illnesses prohibited her.Deborah was that kind of loving, caring, generous and not to mention a strong woman who believed in family. Family to her was the love she gave and extended to her kids, grandkids, great-grandkids, sisters, brothers, nieces, nephews, other family and not to mention neighboring kids and friends. Wherever she lived everyone was welcomed to come to visit or stay. Deborah was just that kind of person. If she said you could stay, everyone knew you could. She was an incredible and unusual loving person. To know her was surely a blessing.Deborah was very nurturing to her kids and later her grandkids and great-grandkids who she all had to raise throughout her life. Her joy was her kids and grandkids. Deborah also had her joy for singing and dancing.To know her was to love her. Deborah will surely be missed. She has touched the lives of so many through her walk in life. Left to cherish her memory are: three children, Roberdette Jean Jones, Delrod Charles Jones and Daryl Eugene Jones; seven grandkids, Skakeara, Davon, Robert, Shavonne, Brayá, Little Daryl and Dalawn; two great grandkids, Daviyon and Malaza; her long-time dear friend, June; four sisters, Neola, Sandra, Pamela and Kathy; two brothers, Robert and Charles and a host of loving nieces, nephews, other family members and friends.
