Deborah Brown Wright

Deborah Ann Brown Wright of 3200 Thompson Street,Richmond,Virginia went to be with her Lord on Sunday,September 20, 2009 at Memorial Regional Medical Center.,after a very brief illness. She was born May 18, 1955 to the late Laura Lee Claiborne and the late James Brown. Deborah was an active member of Antioch Baptist Church,Richmond(Varina),Virginia. There,she served as Church Treasurer and President of the Usher Board. She loved her church dearly and she loved working in her church. She was also the former President of Richmond Association Educational Office Professionals and was presently presently presiding as the President of Richmond West Breakfast Lion's Club.She worked as an Administrative Associate for school nurses in the Richmond Public City Schools. She was a loyal employee there for 33 years.She was loving and devoted wife,mother,mother-in-law,nana,godmother,sister,daughter-in-law,aunt,cousin and friend. We will truly,truly miss her..our lives will never be the same.Deborah was preceded in death by her siblings,Sterling Thomas,Sylvester Claiborne,Edward Lee Claiborne,Jr.(John),Vinnie Harding,and Loretta"Christine"Claiborne.Deborah is survived by her devoted husband,Fred Wright of 28 years;two loving children,son,Deon L. Wright,Sr.,daughter,Jennifer Wright;a very devoted daughter-in-law,Priscilla Wright and her two special little angels,granddaughter,Sydney L. Wright and grandson,Deon"Langston" Wright,Jr.;two sisters,Virginia Earlene Claiborne and Marie B. Whitaker(Raymond) of Richmond,Virginia,;one brother,James Brown(Rhoda)also of Richmond,Virginia,three, sisters-in-law,Jima Claiborne,Minnie Claiborne and Wilhemina Thomas,father-in-law and mother-in-law,Fred and Clarice Wright,Sr. of Varina,three brothers-in-law,Norris Wright(Valarie),Michael Wright(Sabrina)and Dennis Wright(Shelia);one great uncle,James Thomas of West Petersburg,Virginia,her adopted father and mother,Earl and Lydia Wilson,her goddaughter,Carmen Brown,many devoted nieces and nephews,including Joette Whittingham and Wayne Claiborne;a host of cousins,including Doris Murdock(Perry);and devoted friends among them,Brenda Brown,Mary Davis,Luvenia Goode,Pat Hudson,Sandra Johnson,Charlene Rogers and Laverne Thornton.
