Constance R. McElveen

CONSTANCE RENEE' STOREY, daughter of the late Alvin and Elouise Storey, was born on August 7, 1962 in Baltimore, Maryland. She departed her earthly life on February 9, 2017. Constance received her education in the Baltimore City Public Schools, Her passion for knowledge motivated her to further her education. “Connie” as she she was affectionately known, attended Dillard University University Medix School in Baltimore, Md. She also studied at Sojourner-Douglas College in Baltimore, Md. Constance was a Correctional Officer at the Maryland Correctional Institute for Women in Jessup, Md She achieved her position as Sergeant and worked until her health lead her to an early retirement. Even though she was unable to continue her career in corrections, she was determined to stay active and work, so she started her own business, Connie's Creations. Connie was a loving mother to her three boys. In 1985 she was blessed with her first son , Al Lawson, Three years later, she married Tony “Ajax” McElveen and from this union she birthed Todd and Christopher McElveen. Connie shared an extremely special bond with her grandchildren, She cherished the moments spent with each of them. Connie was very important part of their lives. Constance had a giving spirit. She was very kind to everyone she met and though she was sweet, she was just as strong. She fought the battle with her illness for 13 years without complaining. She never let what she was going through change who she was, Constance continued to live her life. She was the life of any party and was known for hosting some of the best of them. She loved bringing her family and friends together. Her beautiful smile and one of a kind laugh will remain in our hearts forever. She was preceded in death by her siblings, Clifford Storey and Elizabeth Wilmer. Connie leaves to cherish her memory: her creations, Al Lawson, Todd McElveen and Christopher McElveen, Jr,; her brothers, Wiley Storey, Ted Storey (Darlene), Willie Storey and Walter Johnson; her sister Floria Zobear; her nephews that she had a special bond with Michael Storey, Sr. (Nadine) and Clifford Storey (Donna); her friends, Gigi, Beverly, Chanel, Sandy and her lifetime friend, Tony “Ajax” McElveen; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins other relatives and friends.
