My Life & Legacy Diaconate Carolyn Arms,tead born Carolyn Robinson in Richmond, Virginia known as ma-uh by her beloved great grand-children went home to be with the Lord on January 14, 2021. She was born 8th of 11 Siblings. She accepted Christ at age 9 as a affirmation of her faith, and remained a member of Greater Mt. Moriah Baptist Church for over 70 years. She was actively involved in all aspects of the church ministries where served on the Diaconate, intercessory prayer, Big Sister, and was particularly instrumental in the church's music ministry. She was devoutly involved as the pianist of the Goodwill Inspiration Chorus and served in that capacity for over 65 years. She also sang in many of the Greater Mt. Moriah choirs, among these were the Thompson Chorus, Peyton Memorial Choir and the Unity Chorus. She also sang in numerous church and community choirs in the greater Richmond area. She graduated from Maggie L. Walker High School and retired from Richmond Public Schools in 2004. She was a hard worker for all of her years of life. Her love, compassion, energy and talents made positive impacts on her family, friends and church community. Carolyn was preceded in death by her parents, James Sr. and Rosa Robinson, her first husband, Walter Green, Sr., her second husband, Elijah Armstead, and her daughter Peggy Green Lorton. She was truly a devoted mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She leave to cherish her memories, four children, Cathey Green Kenny, Frank Green Sr., Walter Green (Marie), and devoted daughter, Brenda Talbert; eleven grandchildren, Antwione, Latrice Toni, Shawnell, Frank Jr., Corey, Monique, Walter, Sharrell, Brittney, and Kean; god-daughter, Letitia Clark Wilkins; two sisters, Rosa Burnett and Audrey Williams; eighteen great grand children, among those devoted Kahlia Byrd. A host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and close friends. We needed a friend, someone to care. And when we looked up, Carolyn was there. We needed to talk, some burden to bear. We looked no further because GRANDMA was there. We needed some confirm, some problems to share. Whenever we called her, OUR MOMMA was there. When others would hurt us and treat us unfair, We would not run away, because Ma-Uh was there. We needed someone to help us, someone to listen and care. Whenever we called on her she was there. Then one sad night we felt so lonely And prayed for someone to care. Then we looked toward Heaven and remembered that God would always be there ""Kahlia
