Blanche Evelyn Tunstall

Those who walk uprightly enter into peace:they find rest as they lie in death. Isaiah 57:2 Blanche Evelyn Tunstall was a phenomenal woman. Born on May 9, 1926, in King and Queen County, Walkerton, Virginia. She was the fifth child of twelve children born to the late George Robert and Bessie Frazier. She was preceded in death by her husband, John E. Tunstall Sr.; one son Samuel P. Tunstall; one grandson Kevin S. Tunstall; and ten siblings. On May 4, 2021 after an extended illness, she went home to be with her Lord. Blanche Evelyn was educated in the public schools of King and Queen County, Virginia. At an early age she was baptized and became a member of New Mount Zion Baptist Church in Walkerton, Virginia. Later, she married John Tunstall, Sr. They moved to Richmond, Virginia where she joined Trinity Baptist Church. She later joined Faith Landmarks Ministries where she was a faithful and active member of the Greeters Ministry, Pastoral Support Ministry, Intercessory Prayer Ministry and all church events including Community Outreach, Special Meetings and Senior Bible Study. She loved helping where needed during special events until her illness. Evelyn was well loved by everyone. She was a sweet, kind, loving person, and she expressed her love in so many ways to everyone she met. Visiting her home was a pleasure and she would always greet you with a big smile and hug. She had a big heart, always gave no matter what, and was a compassionate prayer warrior. She loved travelling, family gatherings, and cooking doing her favorite holiday, Christmas. Evelyn has left a positive mark in this life and has now joined the great cloud of witnesses for our Lord Jesus Christ. She will never be forgotten. She leaves to cherish her memory two sons, John E. Tunstall, Jr. (Jacqueline); Larry R. Tunstall (Thelma); two daughters: Evelyn D. Tunstall and Sylvia J. Tunstall; one brother, Paul Frazier (Mary), one sister-in-law, Lucille Frazier, one brother-in-law, Lewis Harrison; one sister-in-law, Denise Tunstall; eight grandchildren; and a host of loving great grands, nieces, nephews, cousins, church family and friends.
