Annie Lee Wilford

ANNIE LEE WILFORD, daughter of the late Luther Wilford and Mary Lee Savage Wilford, was born on December 24, 1931 in Martin County, North Carolina. She departed this life on Monday, October 12, 2015 after a lengthy illness. Mother Annie was the beloved mother of ten children: James A. Wilford Sr., Patricia Ann Perkins, Diane E.Wilford, E. Devon Wilford- Said, Nellie Tillery, the late John Wilford, the late Archie E. Wilford, and the late Larry D. Wilfod, Marvin L. Buckson, and William K. Buckson. Mother Annie Wilford received her education in North Carolina where she worked diligently as a single parent laboring in the fields of a local farm in Martin County along with her late mother, Mary Lee Wilford before later relocating to Baltimore, Md. She loved her family and was the boss and matriarch of the Wilford clan and would try and keep everyone of them in line. But most of all Mother Annie loved her LORD and savior Jesus Christ; and would “pray often for everyone”. Mother Annie resided on the Eastside of Baltimore for the most of her life and became a member of the First Apostolic Faith Church of Jesus Christ back during the nineties. She enjoyed attending Sunday school and serving on the Senior Mother's Auxiliary Board. Although very quiet and soft spoken, when at church she managed to show herself friendly and became friends with two seniors mothers while volunteering to cook in the kitchen on Sundays. Min. Nellie Tillery who also attends FAFC and who is her youngest daughter was her sole care provider and took excellent care of her up until the time of here recent departure to be with the Lord. She leaves to mourn: two sisters, Alma M. Spruill, Marjorie M. Lee; one brother, Empro Wilford of NC., (five brothers preceded her, The late S. Wilford, the late James E. Savage, Sr., the late Henry L. Wilford, the late William Earl Wilford, and the late John Q. A. Wilford, Sr.; four daughters, Patricia A. Perkins, Diane E. Wilford, E. Devon Wilford- Said, and Nellie Tillery; three sons, James A. Wilford, Sr., Marvin L. Buckson, Sr. and William K. Buckson; and a host of grandchildren, great grands, great great grandchildren, daughters and sons in law and many good friends.
