A Time of Sharing
There are events which mark milestones in our lives. These milestones may represent the best or the worst of times. Whether they are happy occasions or painful losses, they serve to mold us into who we are. When a milestone is the passing of a family member or friend, how does one come to understand and cope with the emotions he or she experiences?
Because we understand how profoundly death affects the living, March
Funeral Home sponsors "A Time of Sharing" a grief support program
designed to help you resume a healthy, productive life after a loss. The
program offers survivors the support they need to work through the
grieving process. Sessions are currently held at the Roberta's House
Family Bereavement Support Center in Baltimore and will soon be coming
to the Prince George County, Washington, D.C. and the Virginia area.
"You are Not Alone"
Small group discussions with individuals who have recently suffered a
loss are facilitated by professionals and trained volunteers. Group
members can share their feelings about death, talk through perceptions
and learn how to help themselves and others. The meetings are held in
conveniently located sites within the community and are free of charge.
"A Time of Sharing” also trains community members who work with grieving
individuals; the workshops educate and train empathetic individuals
about the grieving process and methods of consoling those in need. Since
its inception in 1982, "A Time of Sharing” has built a superior
reputation with hospitals, churches, city and state agencies, and civic
organizations in Maryland. For more information or to register for
sessions, call Roberta's House and ask for "A Time of Sharing"
